1. You can see a Great Egret on the far side of the pond.
2. As I walked around to that side of the pond, the Egret was still there and intent on hunting.
3. I did not have the zoom lens on my camera so I moved in a little closer.
4. And even closer. This was as close as the Egret let me get -- pretty darned close.
5. About thirty minutes later, I came back to the pond just as the Egret flew into a tree with its meal -- a pretty large fish.
6. Fish are not so easy to swallow.

9. Almost completely down the throat now.
10. As I was heading back to the car, I found an Anhinga hiding in a tree.
11. These Grackles were making a lot of noise this morning.

My laptop died earlier this week and it took me a few days to get a replacement so I didn't have much time to load and process photos. I did get these shots of some birds pulled together for Foto-Friday. I hope you enjoy them!
